AUSTIN, Texas — Epicor Software Corporation, a global provider of industry-specific enterprise software to promote business growth, announced today the winners of the 2016 Epicor Customer Excellence Awards program for lumber and building materials (LBM) users in North America. The inaugural awards program recognizes innovative LBM businesses that have successfully transformed operations by deploying Epicor solutions and services to achieve excellence in business efficiency, customer experience, and overall performance.

The following companies are 2016 Epicor Customer Excellence Award winners for LBM in the Americas regional program:

Stimson Lumber Company is the Business Transformation winner, chosen for significant improvements in operational efficiency and intelligent planning from their use of Epicor LumberTrack software to consolidate operations and financial information in their seven mills.

The winner in the Technology Innovator category is Sunroc Building Materials, selected for their intelligent pricing and commissions management reengineering initiative enabled by Epicor BisTrack software—leading to a 30% increase in margin.

Criteria used to evaluate nominations included customer, employee and business impact, process improvements, and positive changes gained within the organization to demonstrate benefits and impact of the technology on the customers’ business. Project complexity, business objectives, and results achieved were also weighed in the final decisions.
