Sherwood Lumber Names New SVP of Sales

MELVILLE, N.Y. — Sherwood Lumber Corp. announced that Wade Hickson has joined the Company as Senior Vice President of Sales, reporting to Kyle Little, Chief Operating Officer of Sherwood Lumber.

“It goes without saying the opportunities that a person of Wade’s caliber brings to our organization, yet the person behind the resume is what really drew our interest and solidified our decision. Wade exudes the personality, the team-first attitude, and the integrity to enhance and defend what is most important to Sherwood Lumber, our values,” said Kyle Little, Chief Operating Officer of Sherwood Lumber.

In his new role with the company, Hickson has been entrusted to grow key customer accounts, define clear channel strategies, and partner relationships that tactically meld with Sherwood Lumber’s core business objectives. His responsibilities also include the creation of the company’s go-to-market strategy, assisting in formulating and administering best practices, and identifying and implementing opportunities whether in new products or demographics.

Hickson brings 18 years of building materials experience in a variety of leadership roles within sales, manufacturing, and distribution. He officially joins the Sherwood senior leadership team on April 3.
