June 20, 2017 LBM Journal

BOISE, Idaho – Boise Cascade Company is planning a year-long celebration of the May 1957 merger of Boise-Payette Lumber Company and Cascade Lumber Company and the creation of the name “Boise Cascade.”  The milestone will be celebrated with each of Boise Cascade’s over 6,600 employees at nearly 60 locations throughout the United States and Canada.

Boise Cascade is proud of the stability and focus of their two core businesses, Wood Products Manufacturing and Building Materials Distribution, the company announced in a press release.

During their year-long 60th celebration Boise Cascade is taking the opportunity to say thank you to their customer and supplier partners that have contributed to their success.

The Boise Cascade team is rich with long tenured, experienced associates.  Most of the senior management team has been in the organization for more than 35 years.  While experience is important, Boise Cascade is extremely focused on bringing in the next generation and immersing them in the culture.

“Our company has gone through a lot of changes over the past 60 years,” notes CEO Tom Corrick. “Through it all we have been sustained by our culture and ability to build and maintain strong and lasting relationships with our employees, customers, suppliers, communities, and owners.  Our celebrations over the next year will honor those relationships as we talk about who we are, where we have been, and how excited we are about where we are going.”
